The Professional Difference

I paid another professional photographer to follow me at a couple weddings.

I told her that she can take ANY picture she wanted (even my set ups!).

My goal was to show how two photographers SEE things differently. It is not the camera  Рit IS the VISION!

The TOP image is the photographer I hired and the BOTTOM picture is MY picture.

The Difference = Vision + Angles + Lighting + Backgrounds.

What a difference. The first you look at once and move on. The second you hang on your wall as a 40 inch canvas print over your fireplace. Vision!

Where you stand effects the background. I find most photographers don't worry about the background because they are so worried about getting the shot. I always look for great light first and backgrounds second before I ever worry about posing.

I much prefer the lighting on the second image. Look at those eyes.

This is night and day. The lighting on the top image is dull and weak. The lighting on my image gives the cake depth and shows off the reception hall.

How much more meaningful is this kiss with her super excited sister looking on?

The first picture is his set up. The second is how I changed it. Notice how the 2nd image I had them SO much closer. It really brings in a relationship. Notice how much tighter the image is too. Which shows the son/father relationship best to you?

Please note, I am NOT knocking the other photographer. We all try our best!

I just wanted to show you the difference between photographers at the same wedding shooting the “same” picture.

Pick your photographer carefully.

You get one shot to get it right.
